Enjoy this Roomy Family Bunkhouse RV Travel Trailer

Our 28 foot Grand Design Imagine Travel Trailer is perfect for families!

2021 Grand Design – Imagine 2800BH

  • Separate master bedroom with queen bed
  • Dual recliners (theater seating)
  • Bunk beds (with “full” size mattress)
  • Spacious shower
  • Large refrigerator
  • Outside kitchen with stove and refrigerator
  • Convertible kitchen table (converts to bed)
  • Side-by-side recliners (they do not convert to a bed)

This is the perfect floor plan for a family. The kids will fall in love with the bunk beds, and the parents will enjoy using the master bedroom’s exterior door to sneak out once the kids are asleep. The trailer includes a full setup kitchen, a pair of heated recliners with massagers, a table to seat 5, a spacious refrigerator, and a set of kitchen supplies to make your trip grand.

We provide a weight-distribution anti-sway trailer hitch and will teach you how to hook up, disconnect, and set up the trailer. You’ll have our cell number, and you are welcome to call with any questions or issues that arise on your adventures.

Dry Camping:

“Dry Camping” means you’re camping with no hookups (no water, no power, and no sewer hookups). This type of camping is possible with this trailer, but it makes things quite a bit harder. In general, if you are planning to dry camp, we recommend:

  • Plan to fill water and empty the tanks at least every other day. This can be done by using a “dump station” along your route. If you are camping in one spot for more than 2 nights, you will likely need to tow the trailer to a dump-station and return it mid-stay.
  • You should rent our generator if you will have no electricity. Plan to run the generator every morning and every evening for a few hours. We will provide 1 canister of propane, and you will have to refill it during your trip if it runs out (you can return it to us empty). If you wish to use your generator instead of ours, your generator must provide 30 amps of service to run the air conditioner, and it also must supply a 30-amp RV-style outlet to connect to the trailer.
  • Without a connection to outside electricity, the following devices in the trailer will only operate while the generator is running: TV, Air Conditioner, Microwave, and Power Outlets. When the generator is not running, the interior lights will still operate, as will the refrigerator, water pump, and water heater. The generator runs on propane (no gasoline), and runs for 6-12 hours on a standard 5 gallon propane canister.
  • Plan ahead for cleaning the trailer. If you are dry camping in a dirty, dusty area, and return the interior of the trailer dirty, we will charge a cleaning fee. Also, plan ahead to be certain you have enough water at the end of your trip to clean any used dishes and spray out the shower.

Cleaning:

We clean and sanitize the trailer between renters, but you are responsible to return the trailer as you received it. This means you must wash all dishes and kitchen utensils, wipe down all counters, rinse the shower of any sand or dirt, and sweep the floors. If you return the trailer visibly dirty, we will charge a cleaning fee. You do not need to launder the mattress covers.

Insurance:

Our commercial insurance policy provides Comprehensive and Collision insurance coverage for the trailer. We pass this cost to you in the form of a $10/day fee. Our insurance covers the trailer in the event of a collision, fire, theft, or other catastrophic damage. The deductible for this insurance is $1,000. In the event of loss, you (the renter) are responsible to pay for this deductible.

Our insurance requires you to provide proof that your vehicle’s insurance policy will provide liability coverage to a rented trailer while you are towing. If your vehicle’s policy does not provide this coverage, you can purchase this coverage for $14.95/day directly from our insurance provider. We will provide these details during the booking process.

Towing:

You are responsible to verify that your vehicle is capable of towing this trailer (7,995 pounds gross weight). Please ensure your vehicle can tow this trailer. Although you are ultimately responsible to verify the weights, we have generally found that 1/2 ton pickups and above can tow it successfully. Examples include F-150, F-250+, Chevy Silverado, and Dodge Ram.

You are also responsible to ensure that your tow vehicle has an electronic brake controller installed. Without a brake controller, the trailer’s electronic brakes won’t engage when you press your vehicle’s brake pedal. If you are unsure if you have a brake controller, please reach out and ask us for help.

If you have any questions, please reach out. We are happy to help!!
